I have a plant that was given to the person who gave it to me, and no one knows what kind it is. It is a house plant, with a single trunk, that reaches to the ceiling. It has long, broad leaves that taper at the ends, that start from the base and continues to the top. It now resembles a palm tree because of the pruning that I had to do, due to leaves dieing. I would like to trim it back since the leaves are at the ceiling, and have died of at the base. any information would be helpful.
