My plant is touching my celing curving up the celing how do I get it to quite getting taller?

Radical surgery is indicated! Schefleras are tough enough that you can cut them back as far as you wish, and they will put out one or two shoots and start to regrow. They are ugly after the cut, but since yours seems to be very strong, the regrowth should start quickly. Derek

Have a scheffearia that I bought in maui. It is growing in lava rock but has started to turnlight gree almost yellow. Any suggestions?

If you haven't moved it to a plac with a lot more light recently (a lot more), then what you are describing is hunger, perhaps due to a root problem. The lava rock doesn't have any nutrient value, and, while it is very good in terms of having good aeration while still holding some moisture, it does need a fairly regular feeding program with very dilute fertilizer.
