I just purchased a bromelade and would like to know about the care of the plant.

Good light, keep a little water in the cup and let a very little overflow into the pot. NO FERTILIZER. That's it. Derek

I have this plant and the bloom looks and feels dried up. It bloomed over a month ago. Should this be removed?

Once it looks unsightly you can take it off down in the cup. Do you realise that the plant as you see it is now slowly going to die? It will be making small ones around the base, so don't think that you are doing anything wrong. It won't be very pretty for several months, so you need a place in the garden in the shade as soon as the weather is warm enough for it to go outside.
