I have received a plant as a gift and don't know the type. I don't know how to take care of it. I can briefly explain what ist looks like. It is a velvet soft leaf and in the middle of the leaf it is a dark pink and the closer you get to the stem the lighter the pink becomes. Any suggests would be appreciated.

Brenda, tell us more. Does it have a stem or do all the leaves come from one place in the ground, or does each one stand up on its own stem. How big are they? Derek
