My huge rhodendrum has lots os blooms this year. When I cut a flower cluster off to put in a vase, I saw small red "ants" and the bottom of the leaves had lots of black powdery stuff on them. How do I stop this?

If the plant is not suffering, don't worry. It will be so hard to use the soap and water spray (which is all I ever recommend) that it is not worth the effort. You may want to take a sample to your local cooperative Extension Agent (see the telephone directory under the county listings) to get an on-site opinion. Derek

Hi,
Will my Rhodendrums re-bloom after I deadhead the old blossoms? the rain has made alot of droopy and rotting flower blossoms and I have been deadheading the old blssoms. I'm afraid I won't have anymore beautiful blossoms for the summer.

I had someone look at my rhodendrums because they are dying and he found that they are being eating by weasels. These insects eat the root systems out which cause brown spots and eventually they die. I need to buy something to save them. I already lost one. Help

After the Rhodendrum blooms, do you pick off the old flowr, if so how far.
