Dear Sir:

I have a dark pink Calla lilly, inside the large bloom down inside is a big green bulb. Do you know if it is a bulb to be planted. I have never seen this before.

Mary, I may be wrng, but I think that this is the part of the bloom that could make seeds. The inflorescence has a modified leaf, which is your dark pink flower (called a spathe), surrounding the many tiny true flowers on a stalk (called the spadix). Derek
