Hello,
I have several beautiful corn plants in my home. However, the ends of some of the leaves are brown. Am I overwatering, underwatering or what? Should I be giving them plant food. What about trimming the plant.
Thanks

HELLOOOOOO....I myself have a cornplant that i have had since 1988...its now almost ten feet tall.....brown tips are common, not to worry though....its lack of humidity....over time the lower leaves will fall off after turining brown, i cut them off from time to time...right now during summer, i feed my cornplant every second watering...let it dry out somewhat before watering, and clay pots are b est....use distill water instead of drinking water..doesnt have chemicals in it, like fluride when can cause brown tips....trim off the brown tips in shape of leaves and you wont even notice they was there.....every now and then wipe the leaves off with a wet papertowel that is lintprove....and if possible, place a fluresent light above or around your cornplant...one that has blue and red spectrums of light,,,your corn plant will love it, and it will help it bloom, if you have one that does blloom....keep in touch, with any problems...i can help....takecare

My corn plant was co beautifol whem I first got it but for the last month or so it is starting to look like hell. The leaves are turning brown starting at the tips and ending at the cane.I kept it in the house when I first got it and it was doing fine for a while.I have since put it in a clay pot thinking it was not drying out good and moved it outside in a shaded area but it is not doing any better. Please help me save my baby.
