I need information and help as to how to care for them. I have one and it doesn't look like it's doing very well. My Gram has one, we bought it at the same time from the same person, and hers is growing like wild fire. What I'm I doing wrong? What type of lighting do I need for it? Please someone help me!!! I really love my plant!!

Hi Andrea,

I assume you are talking about the bamboo (lucky bamboo)that grows in water.???

It needs light. You might have just gotten one that isn't going to do very well. You might try cutting off the bottom a bit then stick it back into the water.

If this isn't the type of plant you are talking about e-mail me and I will try again to help you out. Lynn

if it is lucky bamboo you are speaking of, then you need to always used distilled water instead of tap water. using tap water causes an odor and they don't grow as well.
