I need to know if the lily plant that is it a household plant or can it be planted outdoors in a pot?

Hi Laurie,
A spath is more of an indoor plant. If you plant it outside and the sun hits the leafs it will turn yellow. You might have better luck under a tree or some form of shade. The leafs are delicate so wind will shred them.
