can a desert rose plant be cut back? It had mealy bugs and it now has no leaves. I have just sprayed it and wonder if it should be cut back, I don't really want to do that as it is now about 2 feet tall. I keep it in a pot on my porch.

Thank you,
Linda

A good rule is that youdon't cut back a damaged plant (from cold, insects or whatever) until you are sure which parts are alive/ Let the plant tell you what is healthy and trim accordingly - you may not need to take any off. Derek
p.s. watch for mealybugs to come back. They can hide in the tiniest spaces.
