You can use just a reg fertilizer such as Miracle Gro. I have a very old Christmas cactus, plus others that are not as old I use this on all summer in a diluted form and they all flower beautifully every year.

How much water do you give it during blooming season, and also on the off season?

When blooming, I let the soil get pretty close to drying, even though some cactus sites say keep them moist. Any I had watered that way rotted. So now, when I stick my finger way down into the soil as far as I can, if it feels moist, I won't water, if it feels like it's ALMOST close to drying but not yet dry, but pretty close, I'll water.
Off season, when not blooming, I water when the soil is dry.
