I have a very large christmas cactus and would like some information on when you should transplant them to larger pots.

Joyce, my reply is almost never - may sound strange, but it is a difficult job with a large plant, and, as long as yours is doing well, it is much better not to disturb it or make it deal with new soil.. Derek

Christmas Cacti seem to like being root bound.
I hang mine out doors through the Spring and Summer in semi-shade and bring them in about mid Oct. Some are blooming by Halloween
others bloom on through Feb.
I have found they don't like a lot of water.
