I had bought my dying father a plant back in 1988 and now I still keep it alive and divide it regularly. It has dark green leaves that come off the stalk on opposite sides. It also blooms with a stem holding orange flowers. It also has finger thick roots and likes to spawn babies. I wish that I could draw a picture but has anyone ever seen this plant before?

Do you know anyone with a digital camera who could take a picture and email it to me at derek@horticulturist.com? I could probably name it then, but can't get any mental picture from what you write. Derek
