i recently went on vacation for 2 weeks and left my 2-yr-old poinsettia in the bath with water in its tray. the water did not drain and therefore the plant stood in water for this period of time. when i returned, the plant had lost many of its leaves and some of the ones it did retain were either turning yellow or dying. i let the plant "recover" by letting it dry out, almost completely. i've watered it lightly once. the leaves continue to dye. i'm wondering if the plant is beyond saving, or if there is something more i can do. aside from the leaves, the stems seem to have not changed in appearance and there appears to be new growth on a few of the stems, but i'm not sure if i should be hopeful
i would appreciate any help.
thanks,
callie

Callie. it will soon be time to do the first of the three prunings that you will do to get a full plant - if the stems seem alive, do that soon and get back to the "proper" watering schedule that you have used before. I expect that your plant will come right back. Hope so. Derek
