I have an african violet that had several flowers on when I received it. After a while they all died. The leaves look very healthy. It has been several months since the blossoms fell off. I gave it plant food but still no blossoms.

African violets will bloom in spurts sometimes. Let it get used to it's enviorment and let the roots get somewhat root-bound for good flowering, so you don't want to re-pot it. Keep giving it plenty of bright light and the right amount of water for now. Something you don't want to do is overfeed it too much or all you may get is lots of leaves. You could try a fertilizer with high middle number if you aren't doing that already. Give it some time and I'm sure you'll be seeing some new flowers blooming again soon.

I have had wonderful luck with my african v's when they are put in the double pots...one inside the other...they are sold that way...you put water in the bottom and it takes it,s own water..my violets are constantly in bloom in a half day sunny window whereas when summer comes around...I put them in a cooler window with not as much strong sun.
