In one of my tropical plants, fruit flies began to produce in the soil. My question is, how do you get rid of them? I thought about spraying the soil with a mix of soap and water to kill off the larva. Ether that or let the soil dry out. What about diluted vinager?

If anyone can give me a tip on how to get rid of them, it would be apreciated.

Go to the search section and enter 'Gnats' you will find a lot of suggestions, but the one thing that you must do is to let the surface of your soil dry between waterings. These are either fungus gnats or shore flies - not much harm to a plant in the house, but a nuisance. (I say 'in the house' because they can cause a lot of damage in nurseries by carrying other problems with them)
