Has anyone ever heard of planting a peace lily outside in the ground?? I have a friend who is doing this and is wondering why they don't stay alive. I told her they don't like direct hot sunlight, especially here in Texas where it gets over 100 degrees. She swears they can be planted outside. Who's right?

Christa, I have lots planted in my garden in South Florida, but they are in at least some shade, and get plenty of water. Your friend is right, but her definition of "outside" lacks some important elements like shade and moist air. Derek
