I inherited this plant or what I think is this plant ( I am not much of a gardener) but I have had it for approx. 9 years but it has never flowered nor to my knowledge did it ever even when my brother owned it. My question is how do I transplant it or should I leave well enough alone? one side of the plant is a nice shade of green the other is a pale lime green, what is going on? ( the plant is about 30 inches in length but is missing alot of its needles (leaves) in spots)

Any idea what type of plant it is? Different plants require slightly different care.
