I need to know which house plants are poisoness and what i can do if my puppy chews on it. I have many house plants in my house and I also have puppies in my home that i will be giving away in a few days. The puppies chewed on my philadrendium and my peace lillies today and one has diarrhea and the other is throwing up, and i need to know the first aid for them.

Donna, the philodendron may have things in the sap that will irritate the dogs' throats, but the spathiphyllum should not have done any harm. And the question of what to do - I think by now the situation will be clearing up on its own since these plants are not considered very poisonous. Of course, if the diarrhea continues you may have to call the vet. Try to get them to drink either milk or water, and make them as comfortable as you can. Derek

Hi!
I have a two and a half month old bassett hound/border collie. I know he chewed on leaves from my peace lily. I am not sure if he actually ate them or not. Will this hurt him?
Thank you,

Robin
