Can a spider plant live outside? I live in Salt Lake City, UT. I would like to plant a spider plant in a hanging basket on my patio. It would get 4 to 6 hours of eastern light. Would the plant survive?

It should be ok with a little bit of sun, but they do best in indirect bright light though. If the leaves start to burn or fade, give it less direct light.
