what causes the tips of the leaves to brown?
Should I be fertilizing this plant?

It's your water, spiders don't like flourine or chlorine. It's in both hard or soft water. You have to leave the water sit at least 24 hours before watering them. I usually just snip them off as they come. My spiders are always getting haircuts..heheheee

Try watering with distilled water. I use it on all my plants. Too much fertilizer can also be a cause. I wonder if anyone actually does NOT have brown tips on their plants. If so, I wish I knew the trick.

I put a spider plant in soil first but than I put it in water. will it still grow?
