Hello,

I don't have much of a green thumb so I need your help. I purchased a beautiful Ivy plant for my home. The plant's leaves are dry and the plant is turning brown. I'm not sure if I am over watering the plant or what can you educate me alittle on how to be a responsible plant owner without killing everything I put my hands on..

Help!

Ivy plants like bright indirect light "no direct sun" or the leaves can brown/burn. Water well when the top couple inches of soil feel close to dry and don't let it sit in excess water in the tray. Try not to over-water.
Water or kitchen hose spray down the leaves at each watering to keep them clean and pest free. Don't let the soil dry out completely or the leaves will wilt and it's also an open invitation for spidermites who happen to like ivies in a dry place. If you can provide any extra humidity, like a pebble tray or mini greenhouse like mine is in, (12" X 12") Your ivy would love that! They will summer very nicely outdoors in indirect light. Keep an eye on the soil...
