Recently, while transplanting my rather large leaved Aloe plant I accidenlty cracked the under sides of a couple of the leaves. They did not break off, just cracked, and oozed a little. Will these eventually die? or will the cracks repair themselves? Should I remove these damanaged leaves? Also, I have problem with the bottom leaf of my plant rotting off. The roots are in good shape, and the soil is appropriately drained. What cold be causing the bottom leaf to rot? The top part of the plant is growing rather rather well. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

GIRL U CAN'T KILL AN ALOE VERA PLANT AS FAR AS I KNOW!! I HAVE PLENTYOF THEM HERE, JUST PULL THEM OUT AND TRANSPLANT THEM WHEN EVER YOU WISH! THEY ARE A CACTUS TYPE PLANT AND I JUST PULL MINE OUT EVERY NOW AND THEN AND WASH THEM AND PUT THEM IN NEW MUD MAYBE ABOUT ONCE A YEAR THEY LIKE SUN AND THEY LOVE TO BE DRY!! AND THEY ARE GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN SO RIP ONE OF THE LEAVES OFF ONCE IN A WHILE AND WASH YOUR FACE WITH IT! THAT'S WHAT I DO! AND THEY ARE A VERY HARDY PLANT BUT THEY LIKE TO BE LEFT ALONE REALLY! GOOD LUCK

Actually, it is possible to kill an aloe plant, 'cause we've done it! But I think the problem was, we had it in sticky clay rather than a looser kind of soil. So I guess the clay held too much moisture for the plant. In any event, it died!
