We have recently acquired two of these attractive spath or peace lilies. We more recently acquired a kitten who is very interested in them. Are these plants poisonous to cats?

I also have two peace lilies and a kitten. According to the list on this website, this plant is not poisonous. My kitten doesn't chew on the leaves (she saves that for the rest of my plants), she mainly just plays with the big leaves that hang down. The edges of the leaves had a shredded look due to her claws. She did it a lot more when she was smaller, she is now 14 months old. She doesn't mess with it as much now. Thank goodness peace lilies are resilient!

Oh, thanks, that is very reassuring. I looked for a listing of poisonous plants on this website - any ideal how to find it?

On the upper left of this page, click on "Plants By Type". Then select "Toxic Plants (Pets)". Then click "Get Plants".
