Is this an edible fig, or one of the relatives sold as a folage plant? Derek

Most of the time when a plant/trees leaves are drooping it means it is dry.Try watering it and sitting it in the sunlight.

If what you have is maybe a ficus benjamina tree/weeping fig, they are known for dropping leaves when moved to a new location. For now, don't let it go dry or keep it sopping wet. Let it get used to it's new surroundings and most probably, lower light from what it was used to. Give it indirect but bright light with a little sun added if possible and in time, it will grow new leaves.
Don't fertilize it now until you see lots of new healthy growth.
