Hi All,

I am a desperate owner of two spider plants that i have grown from babies and have had for the last eight years. I recently repoted both of them as I have done in the past b/c they were outgrowing their pots. About 1 month has gone by and the leaves are turning yellow, wilting and dying. I have only watered minimully (when the soil dried up)and have kept them in the same spot in my room. I don't know what has gone wrong but I really do not want my plants to die and would love some advice on how I can bring them back to life.

Sounds like either the new pot is too big, so the soil is remaining too wet causing the yellowing leaves, or, you said you were watering them minimally when the soil dries,it may need more water making sure it gets to all of the roots. Yellow leaves can be from the roots being too wet or not getting enough water, or, they have been dry too long.
Make sure in the new pot that the soil is well draining. When re-potting go one pot size larger to avoid root rot.Don't feed at this time.

I had a plant that started getting yellow leaves and the lady at the nursery told me it needed some iron. I bought some plant iron and mixed with my water and about the 3rd or 4th watering the leaves started turning green again. Now it's all healthy again.
