HELP! MY MOTHER RECENTLY PURCHASED A BEAUTIFUL FULL FLOWERING MANDAVILLA PLANT FOR ME AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO CARE FOR IT OTHER THAN IT NEEDS FULL WARM SUNLIGHT. I BROUGHT IT HOME (I LIVE IN NH) AND PUT IT ON MY ENCLOSED PORCH THAT RECIEVES THE MOST SUNLIGHT AVAILABLE INSIDE THE HOUSE. SO, IT IS FULLY PROTECTED, FULL SUNLIGHT, I FIND I HAVE TO WATER IT ABOUT EVERY 3 DAYS AND YET THE FLOWERS ARE NOW ALL DEAD AND ON MY FLOOR AND THE LEAVES ARE SHRIVELING AND DYING OFF RAPIDLY. I JUST PUT IT OUTSIDE FOR EVEN MORE EXPOSURE TO AFTERNOON DIRECT SUN...BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO BEYOND THIS....I TRIED FINDING FULL DIRECTIONS ON CARE BUT COULDNT FIND IT HERE...PLEASE HELP ME. I DONT WANT THIS BEAUTIFUL PLANT TO DYE AND YES, I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CARE FOR IT IN THE WINTER MONTHS HERE ALSO. BY THE WAY, TH EPOT THIS SITS IN IS VERY LIGHTWEIGHT PLASTIC WITH HOLES FOR DRAINAGE...BUT WHEN DURING WATERING IT RUNS RIGHT OUT THE BOTTOM HOLES ONTO MY FLOOR. IS THIS A PROBLEM..NOT BEING ABLE TO HOLD THE WATER FOR WHEN IT NEEDS IT? THANK YOU FOR ANY POINTERS.

I have these plants for many years. Hve you tried to repot in
a larger pot? And put plant food in it. It needs lots of sun
and H2O. And place somewhere it can vine outward. When you repot
put sand or rocks in the bottom of the container. Good Luck.

I also love my Mandavillas, each spring I buy 4 plants for my deck and they are just the most perfect flowers ever seen. My problem is I would like to know if there is any way I could keep them thru the winter. I live in North West NJ, the tag on the plants say "Move indoors if temp. goes down to 50 degrees.
Please let me know if there is any way I could keep them thru the winter.

I too bought a beauty of a mandavilla plant for a couple of months it was doing famously and then.... the leaves are falling off or are yellowing. Some of the vines are dying and are woody and browned. Its not really as pretty and full as it was. I have not done anythig different then I did when it was full and pretty. what do I do now?????

I am not sure whats wrong-it needs lots of sun and some shade
during the day. I have 3 of them in pots and there are no holes
in them- this may be a problem like you said they cant hold any
water. I am sure you are aware I have a different climate here in the south (mobile, alabama). I have never had any problems. They
need some place to vine did you know that? Mine are on a deck and
near fences to vine on. Go to your local plant store or whoever
sells plants and ask about some fertilizer maybe. Although I have
never used any on my plants. Email me back and I could send you some pictures or maybe you could send me a picture of your plant and maybe I could figure it out...good luck

I have a mandavilla plant however the leaves are discolored on the older leaves and on the new growth the leaves are deformed kind of curling and bumpy. I have not seen any bugs or spots on the leaves. Do you have an idea what could be the problem? Thank you for your time.
