I have a plant that kind of looks like its in the palm family. It has a tall, slender stalk, ringed like a tree, with long, "spiky" dark green leaves at the top. The leaves remind me of blades on a palm tree, but a little firmer. It originally was in a dish garden and only 6", and after many transplants is now in 15" pot and 5' tall.
Anyone's help is greatly appreciated!

it almost looks like Dracaena marginata; however, it has very long trunk and only "bushy" at the top...this may be due to my not trimming/pruning to where it would grow as the pic here on the site shows, however, I am open for any other suggestions
