I was given a Peace Lily a couple of months ago which was doing fine. However, I went on holiday recently and left it with a neighbour. Since bringing it home, the lily's flowers have turned green and show no signs of improvement after two weeks. Could the neighbour have kept it in too little light? It sits in our front room which is north facing on a bright but not direct sunlit shelf. Is it worth moving it nearer the window for the time being?

The flowers on peace lilies don't last a very long time. After mine have been bloomed for a little while they turn green, then brown. It is just the natural process of the flower. After it has turned brown trim it down to the base of the stem. In other words, don't be mad at your neighbor!

Thanks for the advice Christa. My neighbour is too nice to fall out with!
