Palms do well in bright indirect light no direct sun. (Low to med light plant)You want semi moist soil, not all dried out, not wet all the time. So water well after the top inch or two has had a chance to dry out some, check the soil about once a week or so before watering.
Feed lightly using reg fertilizer, don't use plant sticks. plant sticks can burn the roots since they might be pushed down right up against them when inserted into the soil, plus, they can take a long time to break down, Only feed in the spring and summer months, none in winter.
