I was thinking of buying some bamboo and creating my own design in a vase. I am wondering what kind of foundation I can grow it in besides small rocks which is what I have another bamboo plant in?

I have many bamboos and o tell you honnestly, I have one that I've planted in soil...it's doing great! I've had it planted like this for about 2 years and it's still growing...don't forget to put a little bit of fertilizer 20-20-20...they like that.
