Last year I planted three rhododendron plants and around the base of each I added mulch. They survived the winter season. I believe we are going to have a much colder winter this season. My question is if I should remove old mulch and replace or can I add new mulch over old.

Water them well, then add more mulch, making sure that it isn't piled around the stems. Derek
