I recently purchased a mini palm tree, about 8 inches tall, sits in a little dish with very little soil and some small stones, wide trunk, widest at the base. It reminds of a bonzi tree only it's a palm instead. Anyway, there were no directions on how to care for it. I'm not sure how often to water or if it needs any kind of plant food. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

sounds like you have a "bonsai"! seek out your local chapter of the "bonsai" society or ag project. they are very knowledgeable and usually helpful to newbies.
