Hi,
my mother has a gardenia that is very old. She takes very good care of it but lately it has been browning and dying slowly. she says it doesnt turn yellow and die it seems like it has caught something.
Can you help?

Make sure that the plant is getting some humidity and is not severely root-bound, (more roots than soil) and the water is just running straight through without getting all of the root-ball wet, or set in too warm a room. Also, you might want to check for pest like spidermites.
