Hi, I recently purchased a large Amstel Ficus. I planted it outside and live in southern California in the desert region of Palm Springs Coachella Valley. Winters it is abot 60 at night 80 in the day, summer it can reach 115-120. I put it in a place where it is fairly sheltered area. The regular type of ficus survives nicely here, they grow huge!
