My plants continue having yellow leaves. Is this from too much fert. or not enough or too much watering.

If the soil is wet, it's probably over-watered, if mostly dry, not getting enough. Sometimes lower light levels outside in the fall and winter months can cause some yellowing, but they quickly adjust. Most tropicals really don't need fertilizing in the winter.
