I received a house plant that is a vine (I think) and I am having trouble keeping it alive. I water it when ever I can yet it still looks like it's dying. How do I care for a vine?

As in an Ivy? Water ONLY when the top inch or two of soil is dry. Water until it starts to drain out of the bottom. Discard any drained water from the saucer. Give it indirect bright light.
