I have a cactus(usually blooms when I bring in in fall) that for the last 2 years drops it's leaves all winter. Right now there are about 5 leaves sitting on top of soil. I have replanted it, washing roots. I have tried a few locations etc. Last year it was so beautiful at thanksgiving I took a picture. This year it had two flowers, a few buds fell off. It is not very big but several years old. It is smaller than it used to be. A couple of years ago I replanted and added another plant of a different color, one pink and one white. that's why it looked so pretty last year. Could this have anything to do with my problem?
Thank you for any help received.

I doubt having two plants in the same pot has anything to do with your plant losing leaves, different colors or not, seeing that many times there are several plants for sale all growing in one pot with no problems.
Although, the roots like to be on the pot-bound side. re-potting or messing with the roots can cause flowering not to happen at all, or, set it back with very few flowers.
It's hard to say why Christmas cactus will lose leaves or even whole branches, it could because of how it's being watered, too much or too little, shock from re-potting and/or temperature.

Make sure you are letting the soil dry between watering and that the soil is well draining and the pot is not too big or too deep. There should only be about an inch between the root-ball (s) and the inside of the pot. Water well and let dry.Keep it in bright indirect light indoors, even a north window in a cool room can provide your plant with lots of flowers.

A cooler room (50-65) is better for a flowering cactus than a warmer room.A cooler room helps keep the flowers and buds with flowers hanging on longer.

Only feed half strength in the spring and summer months, up until you see buds, then stop feeding again until spring.
