Your Christmas cactus,(Schlumbergera) will do well in bright indirect light (some sun ok) water well when soil has had a chance to dry out before re-watering, cheek weekly. They like to be on the root-bound side. They can stay in the same size pot for years.
In the fall with the shorter daylight hours and cooler days and mights will help set flower buds.
Feed half strength fertilizer during the spring and summer months, stop when you see tiny buds emerging.
