Hello. In spite of our short Michigan growing season, are there any annuals that I can grow from seed directly onto the soil where I want them to grow, after all danger of frost is gone in the spring? Or, will it take too long for them to flower and I'll only be able to enjoy them at the end of summer? Thanks so much...AmyLynn

I think the seasons are too short for you to succesfully flower and enjoy annuals from seed planted after frost.

You can either:
Buy annuals forced to flower at big garden centers and plant those in the grund and keep them fert and watered.

or

Start some annuals indoors about this time of year.
If you want to start them indoors you WILL need a BRIGHT southern window or a fluorescent grow light, 10" above the seedling tray.
