yucca plant Options

I have an overgrown, potbound yucca. Can I 1)prune and 2)divide the plant during re-potting? Any advice would be helpful. Thanx

I dont know that much about yuccas, but whatever you do, dont repot till the Spring. Repotting now may give the plant too much stress that it may die.
