My ficas plant is in direct "daylight" all day. It seems to be doing okay with the exception of dropping the odd leaf. What is scale insect infestation and how do I prevent this? How often should this plant be watered? I was told once a month.

My ficus tree is in direct daylight and the leafs are falling off. What do I do, please help. I love my pant.
