I have a rubber tree that is out of control and I need to cut it back. It looks like a big green octapus. I've heard that there are products that you can put on the cut stem to seal the wound. Could you recommend one?

Thanks so much for your time.

Just use a moist rag or some paper towels. After cutting, hold the rag or paper towel over each wound with just a little pressure and wipe again if needed. it ahould stop ozing sap rather quickly. Be careful not to get any from your hands into your eyes. If you have sensitive skin, it might be best to wear some protective gloves.Wash your hands real good afterwards.

I have the other problem. Lack of a green thumb. ANyway I keep getting these burn like brown discolorations and I live in WA where there is hardly sun this time of year. Could it be too close to the window? Mine is not lush at all should the soil be moist or dry?
