I recently boaught a beautiful MONEY TREE (has entwining trunk like a chain). We have had it for appx 4 weeks ago.. The tree is about 6ft high and was beutiful and all green. But at my home the leaves are starting to get yellowish and than brown. As though the life of these leaves are ending.... Other new leaves are growing as well... But the frequency of the leaves browning is alarmimng. PLEASE HELP AND GIVE US DETAILS ON HOW TO LOOK AFTER OUR BELOVED TREE.... thanks MATI & Naeem

It has not yet proven to be hardy or a good reliable potted plant and it may never be one. It can be quite tempermental and is not forgiving of temporary lapses in it's care.

It should get lots of very bright light with protection from more than a couple of hours of direct sun each day. An east or north windowsill would be good.

Watering depends on how it is potted. If it is quite potbound, then the soil should be kept moderately moist, allowing only the surface of the soil to dry in between waterings. If it is not potbound, then allow the top quarter of the soil to dry out before watering. Make sure it is potted in a pot that has drainage holes.

Keep it as potbound as possible and fertilize very sparingly or not at all.
