i got a small babmoo plant for Valentine's Day. It was bought in a grocery store and came in a small glass vase with about 2 inches of (pink coloured) gel and about an inch of small stones. The plant seems to be losing colour a little and small whitish splotches (mould?) appeared between the gel and the glass. I'm wondering if I should be removing the plant from the gel (the plants roots are in the gel) and, if necessary, adding more stones to the vase to support the plant? And if so, what stones are safe to use? Painted, polished, natural, etc.....?
