I have a spider plant but the ends of the leaves are turning brown. I have no idea what the problem is or what the plant needs, can you help? Thanks

Spider plants along with a few other are susceptible to brown tips, it's pretty common. Hard-water use can can brown tips, as well as over-fertilizing, keeping the soil too wet or dry for too long, along with low humidity.
To help minimize this, keep your spider in a pot that's only about an inch larger than the root-ball. Use distilled or rain water. Only fertilize in the spring and summer months using half strength once a month would be fine.Water well when the soil has had a chance to pretty much dry out first.

Hi There, I am quite familiar with spider plants and yes, they are one of those plants that seems to get brown tips compaired to other plants.
Much of the time brown tips is from not enough humidity. This means you need to mist the plant. Try misting it and in a few weeks you will notice the new growth will not have brown tips.
Another possible cause (but not likely) could be Salt Damage. This can happen from fertilizers, or from the actual water it is being watered with. Check the top of your soil. If the top of your soil looks like there is white hard stuff over top of the soil that is salt buildup in the soil. Remember to let water sit over night before watering your plants.
Hope this helps!
