rubber tree plant Options

hi i am not an experienced plant owner.
i had purchased this lovely Rubber tree plant. I thought that it could look after itself once i brought it home repotted it watered it. But now leaves are turning yellow-orange and looking miserable. What am i doing wrong how can i stop killing this lovely plant?

More than likely you're over-watering it. Rubber plants typically don't handle a lot of water very well. The same with sun. They don't need a lot of either.

You, more than likely, have transplanted prematurely. Ficus as a family like junk soil, dry between waterings and can survive in the nursery container for many months and sometimes years in the same container.

Orange foliage could be over watering or more likely transplant damage. It's good to remember that the container is like our skin. If it was ripped out of the pot, root damage could occur. Just dry out the plant and hope for the best. You might luck out.

Junk Soil is defined as soil that has little if any nutrients not acetic or basic.
