unknown plant Options

Purchased a plant that is approx 2' tall, but will prob grow taller. Woody stem, and leaves that are dark green, firm, elongated, and approx 3" long. Have no clue as to what it is as it was identified as '6" tropical'. Could you give me some idea as what it could be as well as its care.

The care is always the same - warm conditions, good light, and get the watering right. Very little fertilizer. If you are shaky on watering - soak very throughly and completely then don't water again until the top inch or so is dry. No real chance of id for your plant on what you said, but Ficus is very likely. Check Ficus benjamina, weeping fig. Derek

I agree with Derek. Sound like you've got a Ficus.
