I have a house plant which is now about 4 ft tall - with a 2 inch circumfrence "trunk" - the leaves are very large - about 10 inches long and 4 inches wide and stem out directly from the host. The leaves are widely spaced apart and new leaves grow directly from the center top of the plant. I got this plant as a gift from my Dad's funeral 2 years ago. I have no idea what it is. Sorry if my verbiage isn't correct, but I do not have a green thumb--this plant is growing quite well..I would like to know what it is and if I am properly taking care of it.
