We have a houseplant at work that loves the office lighting. It's stem has 5 distinct sides- and the edges of the sides are hairy. It looks like it should be sharp, but it's more like horse hair. There is furry stuff on the stem near the leaves and it pops, dropping small seeds. I will try to attach photos. One plant lover says it's a "Madagascar something", but it's not one of the three madagascar plants I've been able to find. I'd appreciate your help :)

the stem- 5 sides

we throw the seeds back into the pot- and here is a baby:

the leaves are about 6-8 inches long and about 3 inches wide:

This whole plant is about 2 feet tall.

Thanks for your help!

Okay, someone in my office asked around (we're talking 6 floors worth of people) and finally found someone that knew what it was- it's called a Jewel of Madagascar.
